1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using PlantWatch ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
PlantWatch is a plant care companion application that allows users to track their plants, receive watering reminders, diagnose plant health issues using artificial intelligence, and connect with friends. The App is operated by Alexander Hoppe ("we", "us", "our").
3. User Accounts
You may create an account using an email address and password, or via Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use this App.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload any content that is illegal, offensive, pornographic, violent, or otherwise objectionable
- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Upload images that contain personal information of third parties without their consent
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you upload to PlantWatch (photos, notes, plant data). By uploading content, you grant us a limited licence to store and display that content for the purpose of providing the service. We use automated moderation to detect and reject inappropriate images.
6. AI Features
PlantWatch uses artificial intelligence to identify plants and diagnose health issues. These features are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional horticultural or scientific advice. AI-generated results may be inaccurate.
7. Subscriptions
PlantWatch offers a free tier with limited features and a paid subscription (PlantWatch Pro) at £0.99 per month. Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store and automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You may cancel at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
8. Friends and Social Features
When you connect with friends on PlantWatch, limited profile information and plant statistics become visible to those friends. You can remove friends at any time through the app.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Profile section of the App, which will permanently remove all your data.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or that AI features will be accurate.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
