About
Alexander Hoppe

Alexander Hoppe is a lighting designer and sound engineer based in London. He started in Cambridge, on Cambridge Theatre Company's musicals at The Leys and the Festival Players at the ADC, and graduated from LAMDA in 2026 with a BA (Hons) in Production and Technical Arts.

He works freelance in London as a sound No.1, No.2 and production sound engineer, and designs, programmes and operates lighting.

Alongside freelance work he is a technician at Autograph Sound, working on prep, deprep and specialised areas within live sound production, and installs LED for film and television with Light Initiative, most recently on Celebrity Big Brother. He was a sound trainee on the world premiere of The Greatest Showman at the Bristol Hippodrome in 2026.

He is founder and director of Audira, which hires out sound, lighting and DJ equipment, and expanseElectronics, which makes Art-Net and sACN lighting nodes.
